Happy Little Girls 2

About Flickas, Click on the cute little boat

Happy Little Girls 2 is a 1982 Pacific Seacraft "Flicka", hull# 230. We hope to make her our home away from home for some long breaks from the cold winters up here in Minnesota.  Here's our new baby, sitting in her berth where we bought her, in Seattle, Washington.

Our Flicka is equipped with a 9.9 Yamaha. It doesn't get much better than this. QUIET, and plenty of power...... Hopefully, we won't have to use it much though. Quiet or not, I'd much rather sail than motor and the Flicka is such a fine and able sailer that it seems a shame to run the engine .....even when we need to.

Here's where the Flicka really shines. Once you're down inside the cabin, it's very hard to believe that your truly inside a boat that is only 20 feet on deck. In fact, many folks that have stopped by for the nickle tour have asked if she isn't really about a 26 footer. She's very roomy and done up right down below, with heavy duty bronze opening ports (6), the "real" galley with a 2 burner "Origo"  Alcohol stove, a nice deep sink, lots of dry storage above and below and a huge ice box (under the counter) that you see here and lots of beautiful teak wood work.

Left: When's the last time you saw a head in a 20 foot boat with "head" room like this??

Below, looking aft you can see the starboard settee, the head and something that is very important to us Minnesotans,
The Heater
. We should be able to spend many comfortable hours in almost any weather in this little girl.

Oh my, all that teak sure is pretty and there're nice large book shelves too. Sandy and I love to read and we should never have a shortage of space to keep our books. What a wonderful V-berth. Plenty big enough for two and look at all that head room. No more squirming in and out of bed for us.

AAhhhh......finally. Here we are on Kentucky Lake. Sept 2003.

Think we're having fun yet ...... You Bet!!!
